With the increasing number of international exhibitors participating at the China Beauty Expo and the growing popularity of the exhibition, the organisers have set up a special China Beauty Expo steering committee made up of trade experts and professionals experienced in China’s beauty industry. They will be available to offer international exhibitors the opportunity to receive detailed information and advice on the latest rules and regulations for cosmetic import and export, product registration and intellectual property protection rights. This service is in high demand already as the market undergoes constant change.
The China Beauty Expo Shanghai presents:
The China Beauty Advice Council
The Advisory Board for the Registration & Protection of International Beauty & Cosmetics Products in China
Advisory Board Members:
Aims of the Advisory Board
The Chinese beauty industry is growing at an immense pace of over 25% year on year. Thanks to this large increase more international manufacturers and suppliers are seeking to establish themselves in this market. They are finding the path towards importing their products into China more challenging than expected, due to the regulations on product registration and regulations on ingredients.
The Advisory Board is set to clarify misunderstandings with regard to China’s product registration controls as well as its regulations on ingredients and content.
It naturally follows that international companies are keen to register their brands and products in China in order to take full advantage of the growing opportunities offered in China. Companies are taking up a fight against illegal copying as directed by China’s accession to the WTO.
The Chinese beauty industry recognises that consumer demand for international brands is growing at an extraordinary rate and that more international brands are needed to provide a greater consumer choice in China. This unique Advisory Board has been created in order to help international brands understand the requirements and procedures necessary to successfully market their products in China and will give brands direction and assistance in achieving their goals.
Action Plan
Due to the fact that the China Beauty Expo in Shanghai is China’s largest and most successful trade exhibition for the beauty business with exhibitor numbers almost reaching the 1000 benchmark and 180,000 trade visitors, the Advisory Board has decided to create a permanent presence at the event where international brands can pre-book consultations and meetings with the necessary advisors, committees and associations in order to get their products successfully registered in China.
International companies from around the world are being invited to register online as a special manufacturing visitor at www.chinabeautyexpo.com. Here they can complete a short questionnaire detailing their status with regard to China as well as their requirements. They can then access this advice at the China Beauty Expo where an on-site team of specialists will be on hand to cover everything from initial product registration procedures right through to brand protection policies and legal procedures.
This service is being provided free of charge during the exhibition and will also be available as an online service after the event in May. The service is initiated by CAFFCI and supported and financed by BMC Baiwen – organisers of China Beauty Expo and publishers of Cosmetic News, ICN China & Estetica China.
